Promoting Your Business Through Forum Marketing
Forum marketing is a very effective way to promote your business. This is one of the reasons why forums are so popular. It doesn’t cost a penny to use this type of promotion and you can reach out to thousands of targeted prospects. However, there is a method to it which is presented below.
First, you need to go out and find several forums that are related to your business. If you are trying to sell weight loss products, then you would want to register with forums on the “weight loss” niche, obviously. If you are looking to recruit people into your business, “work at home” forums will do great. Also, go ahead and register with at least 3 forums. The more forums you participate in, the more targeted traffic and leads you will get to your business.
Next, you will want to create a signature line. This is the most important step of this method. The signature line is basically 2 to 3 lines of text which show up under each of your posts. You will want to include a link to your business website in this signature line.
Once you have your signature line set up, it is time to go in and participate. Now, participating is not the same thing as spamming your business link all over the forum. This will get you into trouble and most likely banned from the forum. Participating is reading and responding to other’s posts, asking and answering questions and creating new threads of your own with helpful information. Participating needs to be an on-going practice. You need to be in the forums posting on a regular basis or people will not notice you. The more you post, the higher your visibility and the more times your signature line shows up. Plus, you gain people’s trust this way too and they are more likely to click on your signature line and join you in business (or buy your product).
