Article Marketing Tips - Boost Your Business To New Levels

Many Internet marketers are using the power of article marketing to drive traffic to their business website, increase profits and boost their search engine rankings. This is because writing articles is a simple way to do this, however, not always done correctly. You cannot just slap up a few articles about ski holidays and expect miracles to happen, there are literally millions of articles online with the exact same subject matter. It takes a great deal of effort and a certain set of skills to make it work.
First, you have to realize that information is extremely important. This is really the only reason why people are reading your articles in the first place, to get information. Provide useful content for your readers to read and they may just make it all the way down to your resource box.
Keep your articles short and simple. Chances are if readers click on your article and it is 500 words of garbled mess, they will click off it real quick. Your article should include small paragraphs that are easily readable and it should include information that is clear and concise.
Posting your articles on your webpages and blogs is great, but you should definitely be submitting your articles to article directories. These sites already have a huge database of readers and they are very popular with search engines. Articles that you submit to these tend to get picked up rather quickly and indexed in the search engines bringing you even more traffic.
Utilize RSS Feeds to syndicate your articles. Some of which you can use are Microsoft’s RSS Powered Longhorn, XML Sitemaps and Google Blog Search.
Take a little time on creating the title. The title is the most important part of your articles. If the reader is not intrigued enough by your title to click on your article and read it, you are done before you even get started. Come up with titles that are interesting, exciting and cause curiosity. Resource boxes are just as important. It should not be about you, but rather it should have some sort of call to action for your reader to take. Something that grabs their attention and makes them want to click on your link.
Keyword density is also important in article writing. Keyword stuffing is outdated and very ineffective. In fact, search engines frown on this type of activity and will probably not even pick up your article. A 2% keyword density is safe.
Last, do not just stop at submitting your articles to directories. Give them a boost by pinging them, bookmarking them and creating back links for them around the Internet. This will increase their rankings and you might just find them on the first pages of Google and other major search engines.
