This sounds obvious, but knowing who your audience is, what their current position is, will help you in your task. You cannot persuade someone to do something if you don&rsquo;t know them. </P> </P> <P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" >Another thing you should know is what your argument or main idea is. Know what outcome you want, or what you want to persuade your reader to do.
